What is Consent On DLT?

 

Consent is permission given by the end customer to a principal entity (PE) to receive SMS related to a specific purpose or a product or service. Consent has to be given only for Promotional and Service Explicit SMS. It is not required for Transactional and Service Implicit messages.

 

Why Is Consent Upload Important?

 

As Per New terms of TRAI on DLT Which is going to be live from 1 Sep 2021. Every Principle Entity has to Upload their Consent Accepted Contact Numbers on the DLT portal.

 

Those contacts will be whitelisted for that particular entity to which the Entity can send promotional Explicit Messages.

 

Any other number if a user sends messages that will be Rejected by DLT.

 

Here Are the Steps How to Upload Consents on DLT Platform

 

 

 

Select area of Operator.

      1. As Enterprise

 

 

  • Enter Email Id and Password to log in.

 

 

  • For protection, users get OTP on their mobile number to make it secure.

 

 

  • In this way, you will be able to see the dashboard with various options.

 

 

 

For Consents Upload:

 

  • Go To Consent Upload.

All PE’s must click on upload to update the consents captured in the provided format.

 

 

  • Please give a reference name for uploading the consent, also map against the consent template which is already registered and approved.

 

 

  • Please Note:
    1. Download the sample CSV file format.
    2. The CSV file should have both MSISDN (10-digit number) & Date of Consent i.e in format YYYY-MM-DD.
    3. The date of consent should not exceed more than 6 months.
    4. The entity can upload a maximum of 5 lakh consents (records) at a time.
    5. Segregate the data in case the base exceeds 5 lakhs. (For e.g for 10 lakh consents entities have to upload the consent file twice).
    6. Consents Should be uploaded in a CSV file and the file size should not exceed more than 12 MB.

 

 

 

  • Enter Mobile number and date.

 

 

  • Upload a file by selecting a file from your computer.

 

 

  • Please upload the file in the given format and click on submit once it is uploaded.

 

 

  • Once the consent is uploaded click on submit it will redirect the page to the payment page.

 

 

  • Select payment option for proceeding further.

 

  • Select payment gateway.

 

  • Enter Captcha for processing.

 

 

  • Once your payment gets processed you will be acknowledged by the reference number.

 

 

  • Selecting Accepted Consent Upload Data: Post the above process PE’s can view the consents uploaded as Accepted.

 

 

  • Click on reference ID to see the consents uploaded status Accepted or Processed or Payment failed or All.

 

 

 

 

  • After accepted PE’s can view how many no consents uploaded are processed & can download.

 

 

  • Selecting Payment Failed Templates: You will be able to see how many Payment failures are left.

 

 

 

  • If you will Select All - Accepted, Processed & Payment Failed, all data will be shown.
